Meet the Napoleon Veterinary Clinic Staff
Suzi (Go Bucks!) Slight has been with the
clinic for over 30 years, the majority of those years serving as Veterinary Technician. Her
duties include lots of client contact, both in and out of the exam room, answering
questions for those who stop in to the clinic or perhaps call on the telephone. Suzi
assists the doctors in the exam rooms, holding pets and collecting any lab samples
necessary. She also shares in the lab work, often times getting results right away.
Suzi and her husband Don have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren, along with a yellow lab named Archie. Her interests include OSU football during the season and spending lots of time with her grandchildren.
Mary Radel has been with the clinic since September 1992. A graduate of
Wauseon High School, Mary serves as Veterinarian Assistant. Her various duties include
restraining animals and assisting the doctors in the exam rooms. She also works with
inventory control, surgery preparation, and performs lab tests, just to name
a few.
Mary lives in Napoleon with her husband Randy and their son, Josh. Their family also consists of a black lab named Deion, and their cats, K.C. and Dale.
Mary's hobbies include making baskets, camping, and NASCAR races.
Dee Wills
joined the front office staff in September of 1996. She moved into the
Financial Secretary position after 5 years of working as the Floating Secretary.
Dee and her husband Dave live in Napoleon and have 2 children, Jamie and Adam. Their family also includes a Jack Russell Terrier mix named Reggie and a Yorkie named Grace, and 2 cats, Elliot and Peyton.
In their spare time, Dee & Dave enjoy trips to Indianapolis to visit Jamie and her husband Joe, and to catch a Colts game whenever they can. They also enjoy making the scenic trip down to Athens to visit Adam at Ohio University.
Denise Davis started working at the clinic mid-July, 1998. She has been doing a fine job as Kennel Assistant, taking care of your pets while they are here, either after surgery or while boarding with us.
Married on New Year's Eve (1997) Denise and her husband Glen live outside of Malinta with their sons Paul and Glen Jr. Movie fanatics, they have an extensive Disney collection. Sharing their home are their cats, Baby, Libby, Peek a Boo, Pepper, Sylvia, Tigger and Yoshi, and a mixed breed dog named Joey.
Candace (Candy) Heath joined our staff as Recall Secretary in August, 1998. In
November, 1999, she took over the responsibilities of Financial Secretary, and most
recently moved into the new position of Large Animal Secretary. Candy attended Owens Tech and earned a certificate in office
support.
Candy and her husband Greg moved to Napoleon several years ago. They have 3 children, Nathan, Sarah, and Jacob. The Heaths have a toy poodle named Jelly Bean. Candy's son Jacob also raises rabbits to show at the fair for 4-H.
Candy attends Napoleon Church of the Nazarene where she leads the worship teams. In her spare time she enjoys singing, reading, and scrapbooking.
Hope Kiessling joined the clinic in April, 2000 as Appointment Secretary and then graduated from Stautzenberger College's Veterinary Technician program in Toledo in 2001.
Hope and her husband Corey live in Defiance with their daughter Claire, and their son Andrew. The Kiessling family also includes a Corgi named Louis, 2 cats named Gypsy and Princess, a cockatiel named Peaches, and a Flemish Giant rabbit named Brutus.
Theresa Hite is a graduate of Stautzenberger College's Veterinary Technician program. She joined the staff at Napoleon Veterinary Clinic in 2003. Her time is divided between large and small animal technical duties.
She lives in the country in Wauseon with her husband, Justin and their two small children, Carter and Colton. Other family members include four dogs, Makenzie, Chelsea, Bailey and Hoss. They also have horses and two pygmy goats. Her hobbies include horseback riding and scuba diving.
Sarah Newns joined the staff in August 2004 as the Recall Secretary. She lives in Wauseon with her husband Andrew, their two dogs, Ginger and Alexander, and two cats, Meme and Buddy.
Sarah loves the NFL, especially the Bears, and participates in a fantasy football league. Sarah also enjoys scrapbooking and following favorite TV shows.
Shelley VonDeylen joined the front office staff in August of 2004 and is the Appointment Secretary. She and her husband Mike live in Napoleon. They have 2 sons, Tyler and Ryan. Other family members include two dogs, Abby & Sadie. They also have 2 horses.
Shelley's hobbies include horseback riding and camping.
Jaclyn Franz joined the front office staff in April of 2005. A graduate of Pettisville High School, Jaclyn is our Floating Secretary. Jaclyn married her husband Ernie in November of 2002 and they live in Napoleon with their daughter Addison. The Franz family also includes a chocolate lab named Shelby.
Jaclyn's hobbies are shopping with friends and spending time with her family.
