Napoleon Vet Clinic’s Veterinarians
Dr. Doug Burgei
VeterinarianDr. Doug Burgei joined Dr. Jesse Gregory at the Napoleon Veterinary Clinic in 1978 after graduating from Purdue University with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree. He is originally from Rome City, Indiana, graduating from East Noble High School in 1972.
Dr. Burgei works in all aspects of veterinary medicine within the practice. His special interest is in surgery with recent continuing education emphasis in this area. He enjoys surgery in general, which he finds very rewarding.
Outside interests for Dr. Burgei include SCUBA diving, yard work with perennial flowers and broad involvement in community service. Much of his time is spent working with Henry County Community Foundation and serving as chairman of Henry County 4-H Endowment Committee. Dr. Burgei is also on the Board of Directors of First Federal Bank of the Midwest.
Dr. Burgei and his wife, Christy, have been married since 1977 and have three children. Their oldest son, Nathan and his family live in Bowling Green while their daughter Amanda and her family live in Toledo. Tyler, the youngest, lives in Denver, Colorado. They have five granddaughter’s and one grandson.
Dr. Burgei’s wife, Christy, teaches 5th grate at St. Augustine School. The family also includes their two dogs, a shih-tzu named Chewbacca and a Golden Retriever named Stella.
Dr. Terri Fedderke
VeterinarianDr. Terri Fedderke grew up in Milan, Ohio, where she graduated from Edison High School in 1988. She then attended The Ohio State University and received both a Bachelor of Science in Animal Nutrition in 1991 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1995.
Upon graduation from The Ohio State University, Dr. Fedderke joined Drs. Burgei and Edwards at the Napoleon Veterinary Clinic.
Special interests for Dr. Fedderke include pet dentistry and oral surgery, animal behavior and exotics.
Dr. Fedderke and her husband, Todd, live in Napoleon. They have three children, Camren, Collin, and Caroline. Rounding out their family are a dog, Brutus and two cats, Blackie and CeCe.
In her free time, Dr. Fedderke does like to travel back to Ohio State to cheer on the Buckeyes. She also likes to play sports, go shopping and camping.
Dr. Kate Colliflower
VeterinarianDr. Kate Colliflower grew up in Mechanicsburg, Ohio and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1999. She attended The Ohio State University as an animal science major, graduating with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006.
After graduating from OSU, Dr. Kate married Napoleon native Phil Gerken and began working at Napoleon Veterinary Clinic. When she joined our clinic she spent time working with both the large and small animal aspects of our clinic. Now she spends most of her time in the clinic caring for your pets. She really enjoys working with surgical cases.
Since she started with us, Kate and Phil have had four children, Alaina, Michael, Audrey, and Peter. They share their home with a Chocolate Lab, Anderson and two cats, Bella and Agnes. Out in their barn are two pygmy goats, Penelope and Delilah.
Dr. Kate LOVES going back to Columbus for Ohio State football games, but seems to be spending most of her time these days with her family cheering the Buckeyes on from home!
Dr. Sara Weaver
Dr. Sara Weaver grew up in Napoleon and was a 2009 graduate. She attended The University of Findlay receiving a Bachelor of Science degree and then continued on to The Ohio State University where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017.
After graduating, Dr. Weaver immediately joined our family. She has a passion for horses and may practice equine medicine in the future. She also enjoys cardiology and spends a lot of time in the exam rooms caring for your pets.
Dr. Weaver loves riding horses, collecting $2 bills and all water sports.
